Thailand's decision to grant Myanmar refugees living in border camps the right to work has come into effect.
The move follows US funding cuts, which stopped the supply of food and medicine.
And rather than fund the camps itself, the Thai government says the refugees living there must now find their own work.
Al Jazeera’s Tony Cheng reports from Mae La refugee camp on the Thai Myanmar border.
