Philippines protest crackdown: Police accused of brutality after killing last month

Rights groups have accused police in the Philippines of using excessive force to stop anti-corruption protests in Manila last month. One man was shot dead, although authorities initially denied there were any casualties. More than 200 people were arrested—many of them minors who say they played no part in the violence.
