Pakistan-Afghanistan clashes shut key crossings, threaten trade amid regional tensions

Border crossings between Afghanistan and Pakistan remain closed, after violent confrontations in recent days.
Regional powers, including China and Russia, have expressed concern over the escalating violence.
Kabul denies harbouring the Pakistani Taliban (TTP), saying the fighting is taking place inside Pakistan.
Islamabad insists it prefers diplomacy but vows a “befitting response” if attacks persist.
