Tuesday marks two years since the October 7 attacks that led to Israel's devastating war on Gaza. More than 67,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, and nearly two million displaced. Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas are now underway in Egypt to finalise a ceasefire deal. Hamas has agreed to release all Israeli captives but says the continuous bombing of Gaza poses a challenge. US President Donald Trump says Hamas is agreeing to important aspects of his 20-point ceasefire plan. Despite those negotiations, Israel's attacks on Palestinians across Gaza persist. Israeli forces carried out more strikes, targeting various areas of Gaza City. Medical sources say at least 3 Palestinians have been killed and several others wounded in the Sabra neighborhood. The Israeli military says it will continue its ground offensive as long as there's no ceasefire in place. Shaina Low is a Communication Adviser for Palestine at the Norwegian Refugee Council.
