Wildfires rage across Turkey's Izmir province
Turkish authorities have been working to contain wildfires in the Aegean coastal province of Izmir on 30 June as strong winds caused the blazes to spread in the region. Flights at Izmir international airport were temporarily suspended because of smoke in the area. Turkey's coastal regions have in recent years been ravaged by wildfires, as summers have become hotter and drier, which scientists say is a result of human-induced climate change
