Powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake shakes Turkish capital Istanbul

At least one abandoned building collapsed in the city's historic district. The internal affairs minister, Ali Yerlikaya, said no inhabited building had collapsed and that the quake had made no casualties or injuries. Another earthquake of magnitude 4.9 hit an hour later, with the epicentre off the coast of Buyukcekmece in the Sea of Marmara
