Preventing HIV in South Africa: A promising new jab could replace pills
Researchers in South Africa say a new anti-HIV drug could radically slow down the spread of HIV by 2032. Lenacapavir is a twice-yearly jab that protects people from contracting the virus. But the drug is expensive and a cut in US funding may slow down its distribution.
