Pope Francis buried: Grave inscribed simply with 'Franciscus'
In keeping with his humility, Pope Francis chose to be buried in a quiet residential neighborhood in Rome instead of within the grandeur of the Vatican. His coffin crossed the city after the funeral, watched by large crowds paying their respects. His grave bears a simple inscription: "Franciscus."
