'Murderous free-for-all': UNRWA slams Israel's deadly Gaza aid distribution system

Speaking to Al Jazeera, UNRWA Director of Affairs in Gaza Sam Rose condemned Israel’s ‘militarised’ aid system that has seen 600+ Palestinians killed while queueing for food. He described dehumanising ‘cattle pen’ distributions open for mere minutes, leaving 2 million reliant on just four sites—none in famine-stricken north Gaza. Rose warned this ‘murderous free-for-all’ compounds Gaza’s intolerable crisis, with bombings, evictions and fuel shortages creating ‘a bloody Sunday every day’. He accused GHF of operational failure, stressing proper aid requires expertise—not the current chaos enabling mass casualties. While 138 organisations demand GHF’s closure, Rose emphasised only a ceasefire can end suffering that ‘will scar generations’.
