Two Israeli human rights groups, B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, have for the first time labelled Israel’s Gaza offensive as genocide, citing deliberate policies of mass killing, bodily harm, and systemic destruction of living conditions.
Their reports highlight indiscriminate bombings, shoot-to-kill orders, and engineered famine affecting 2.2 million Palestinians, with Gaza’s death toll nearing 60,000 when including disease and starvation. B’Tselem warns Israel is exporting these genocidal tactics to the occupied West Bank through lethal “kill zones” and economic strangulation, dubbing it “Gazafication”.
Physicians for Human Rights details the calculated dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare system, calling it systematic and intentional. Both organisations accuse Israel of making Gaza uninhabitable while intensifying oppression in the West Bank through home demolitions and infrastructure targeting.
The reports, backed by witness testimony, urge global action to halt what they term an undeniable genocide.

Itamar Mann is a professor of International Law at the University of Haifa and one of the Co-Authors of the Physicians for Human Rights (PFHR) report. He says it lays bare the extent of Israel's war crimes.
