Israeli forces bombed a UN school sheltering displaced families in Gaza's Al-Bureij refugee camp, killing four people in a midnight strike. The attack on Abu Hilu school left charred mattresses and burned belongings scattered across its courtyard, with survivors describing waking to "a ring of fire" as explosions ignited tents. "We were sleeping when drones attacked - these are just children with nowhere else to go," said one parent, his hands still blackened from rescuing others. The strike targeted a facility housing families fleeing eastern Al-Bureij, despite containing only civilians. Witnesses reported intense flames engulfing nylon tents where dozens slept, with blankets completely burned in what they called an "apocalyptic" scene. This latest attack reflects Israel's broader pattern of targeting designated shelters across Gaza, compounding the displacement crisis. Al Jazeera's Ibrahim al-Khalili reports from Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
