In an Al Jazeera interview, Dr Mohammed Abu Mughaisib, Deputy Medical Coordinator for Doctors Without Borders (MSF), described Gaza's unprecedented starvation crisis, where even medical staff face acute hunger.
Speaking from Khan Younis, he detailed collapsed healthcare with surgeries performed on floors and critical malnutrition treatments exhausted since Israel's March blockade.
Over 50% of Gaza's children now lack basic nutrition, while pregnant women show severe starvation symptoms, with medical operations likely to cease within weeks.
He emphasised Israel's weaponisation of aid has crammed displaced families into 14% of Gaza amid rampant disease and undrinkable water.
His testimony followed 100 NGOs condemning starvation tactics that force aid workers to risk gunfire in food lines. The MSF official warned that a continued blockade means "there will be none left to save", demanding urgent border reopening.
He concluded that Gaza's suffering exceeds all previous crises, with systemic collapse threatening the entire population.
