Gaza City streets run red after deadly night of Israeli strikes

Overnight Israeli strikes have killed nearly 50 Palestinians across Gaza. A young girl screams as rescuers pull her from the rubble of her home in the Al-Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza, destroyed in an Israeli airstrike that killed her entire family. A paramedic describes surviving an Israeli attack while trying to save civilians, crawling through debris to rescue a child. Bloodied streets bear witness to the night’s violence, with the wounded rushed to overwhelmed hospitals and the dead carried away. Displaced Palestinians plead for global intervention: “Where can we go?” as Israeli strikes continue. The daily quest to find food has also killed several others near the Netzarim military corridor.
