Leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, better known as APEC, are set to gather for talks expected to be dominated by rising tension between its two most powerful members, the US and China. US President Donald Trump is set to sit down with China's leader, Xi Jinping, on Thursday for high-stakes talks. As the rivalry escalates, so too does the economic fallout, fuelling uncertainty and real-world consequences for members, including host nation South Korea.
