Israeli fighter jets launch series of strikes on Gaza City: Reports

Israel’s military has launched a wave of air strikes on Gaza City following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s order for a “powerful” attack. Explosions and gunfire were reported across Rafah and Khan Younis, with missiles hitting several locations. One strike landed behind al-Shifa Hospital, near a recently renovated building. The blast caused panic among patients and medical staff, with eyewitnesses describing it as massive. Residents reported hearing the explosion from more than 20 minutes away. Drones and aircraft continue to hover over Gaza’s skies amid ongoing bombardment. The assault follows Netanyahu’s directive earlier in the day to strike the Strip.
